LIRA is a research laboratory founded in 2023 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. We develop robotics and research computer vision, locomotion, reinforcement learning, and humanoid robot interaction (HRI), with emphasis on humanoid robotics, UAVs, and related areas.

LIRA is run by bachelor and masters students from the School of Engineering. We come from Mechatronics, EE and Computer Engineering backgrounds. The lab is also available for visiting students, exchange students, researchers, UNAM social service, sponsors and whoever wants to get involved in robotics. The lab also publishes original research in the robotics field. Including computer vision, locomotion, navigation, localization and control. You can find all some of our research in the Publications section.
